“Rebecca came to our house and conducted a full diagnostic dyslexia assessment on my 10 year old son. She had a calm and friendly manner and put my son at ease straight away. A summary of the assessment came by email the following day and the full report was emailed and sent under 2 weeks. She is a knowledgeable assessor and answered all my questions prior to the assessment. The report was very clear and easy to read. The report outlined areas his school and I could target and needed work on. I would highly recommend her.”

“Rebecca is absolutely lovely. She will put even the most anxious of children at ease and has been incredibly helpful with explanations and follow up information. My son actually really enjoyed his assessment because it was just like playing different games in his view, all done during a normal school day. This is a considerably less expensive option than getting an assessment through Helen Arkell, especially helpful if you are having more than one child assessed. Cannot recommend highly enough.”

“Rebecca was excellent, both my children enjoyed their time with her and her report was very thorough. I would definitely recommend.”

“Rebecca was professional, approachable and reassuring throughout our daughters assessment. Would happily recommend to other parents.”

“My son immediately warmed to Rebecca and she was perfect at putting him at ease and working through the test with him in a positive manner. The report was detailed and covered everything the school needed in order to target his support, they were impressed with the helpful targets she set too. I would not hesitate to recommend Rebecca.”

“Really professional and comprehensive report . My son enjoyed the assessment and was happy and relaxed . Thank you so much 😊”

“I referred my son to Rebecca to assess whether he is dyslexic or not as he has been struggling at school. Harry really warmed to Rebecca and was happy and confident to spend the 2.5 hours with her doing the assessment. Rebecca fed back initial results to us the same day and the full report within 2 weeks. Rebecca is lovely and the report she produced was very detailed and helpful. I would highly recommend her.”

“We contacted Rebecca regarding our 10 year old son. We’d had a few concerns over processing speed and reluctance to read and ongoing troubles with spellings. We went to Rebecca to have a full assessment. She was great and made our son feel at ease and he was happy doing the 3 hour assessment. Rebecca’s initial feedback was great as it reassured us. The full report came three weeks later. We have just been to the school to talk about an Individual learning plan and they said it was one of the best reports they had seen in terms of recommendations and targets areas. Thank you Rebecca for making this altogether new process for us as relaxing and straightforward as it could be.”

“Kathryn enjoyed the assessment day and did not feel any duress doing ‘homework with Rebecca’. We were kept very well informed throughout the process; from initial contact through to report completion. Rebecca was flexible, approachable and professional at all times. The report was beautifully written and easily understood. All stress and concerns were removed from the process. Thank you.”

“I was very impressed by the surroundings and Rebecca’s knowledge and insight. The followed report was informative and has helped me to raise key action points with school. I was very happy with everything and so was my son.”

“We contacted Rebecca to assess our 8 year old little girl who has struggled with school, being relatively late to read and coming home tired and fractious. We were keen to rule a specific learning problem such as dyslexia. Rebecca’s welcome was great and meant our little girl went happily into the assessment and managed to stay on task the whole time. The assessment report arrived very soon afterwards and is thorough and helpful.”

“I took my daughter to see Rebecca as she’s really struggling with school and it’s completely exhausting her. She doesn’t like writing or reading aloud and is normally shy but Rebecca was so friendly and engaging that Scarlet happily went into the assessment. We received a detailed and accurate report and despite Scarlet not showing any signs of dyslexia at the moment, Rebecca gave us a range of recommended strategies. We will probably see Rebecca again for some support work and I have already recommended her to a friend.”

“Rebecca was exceptional. Following some concerns around the progress of my son in learning to read & write I took him to see Rebecca. She was extremely engaging, patient and encouraging of my son. The feedback she gave was detailed and she suggested multiple support strategies for us to try going forward.”

“Our experience was excellent. My son enjoyed the assessment and was keen to return for the second part. His school was impressed with the report. Thank you.”

“Alice has loved her support sessions and looks forward to going each week. She is growing in confidence thanks to Rebecca’s positive teaching style and the fun she has at each session. The feedback we share after each session between the three of us is also extremely valuable and supportive as are the resources we have to share and reinforce at home. Alice is always very keen to share these and is also able to show her understanding through these. She is showing clear progress both in her skills and her confidence in this area. As a parent I am delighted with the service offered, my child’s progress and the quality of feedback and communication between parent, child and teacher.”

“I feel the first few sessions with Rebecca have gone very well. Chloe is enthusiastic and enjoying the sessions and has already shown some improvement in her reading.”

“Scarlett’s progress was visible quite early on and her confidence overall has increased. Rebecca provides feedback at the end of lessons and includes optional work. The ease of working with Rebecca is a positive aspect of the service.”
